Over on that website once known as Twitter, I led the #AugWritingChallenge hashtag. The challenge is simple: write 500 words written, or spend an hour editing. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous, you can even do both. To encourage the participants, I once again grabbed some quotes from authors (and maybe the occasional non-author) about the art of writing. Some are insightful, others amusing, but in the end, I like them, so I used them. Since I like them and hope the participants like them, I think you might like them, too. I even went to the effort of ensuring I didn’t double up on any quoters.
